These practical sessions will ensure that they meet the standards of a fully qualified Level 3 electrician.

Cost:  £2000

Course Description

The City and Guilds 2346 Level 3 Experienced Worker Assessment is tailored for electricians with pre-existing, substantial industry experience. It tests practical abilities, technical knowledge and general safety awareness through hands-on tasks, enabling experienced workers to attain formal recognition and certification as a Level 3 electrician.

Prerequisites

Prior to applying for the City and Guilds 2346 experienced worker route qualification, you are required to complete a skill-scan document with the centre, which if successful, will be uploaded to The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP), who will authorise/deny access to sit the EWA entry test within our centre under exam conditions. Please note there is a fee of £150 for this assessment.

Along with the skill-scan document, trainees will need a score of 60% or more to pass.

How is This Course Assessed?

The requirements for the City and Guilds 2346 course focus on submitting practical evidence via an online portfolio, plus the AM2E which is carried out at an AM2 net centre (at your own cost) ensuring candidates demonstrate competence and meet professional standards for NICEIC or NAPIT registration within 18 months, which is why it is for electricians with over five years of experience.

Entry Requirements

The C&G 2346 will be assessed through multiple avenues. This includes a skills scan, a 2346-04 entrance test, on-site observations, building a portfolio of work and passing the AM2E exam. The online portfolio is via Ecordia which has extensive online help files and plenty of YouTube video resources showing you how to upload evidence. The assessor will mark the evidence every 12 weeks approximately so it’s up to you to ensure sufficient evidence is available for marking.

Evidence provided must be two times for each piece of work.

Learning Outcomes

Completing City and Guilds 2346 Level 3 allows candidates to gain recognition as fully qualified and proven electricians. This certification will act as a guarantee of skill, safety adherence and confidence to be able to progress into senior roles, or as design technicians or working on-site in a supervisory capacity.

Note, to apply for the City & Guilds 2346 experienced worker route qualification you will be required to complete a skill scan document with the centre which if successful will be uploaded to TESP who will authorise or deny access to sit the EWA entry test within our centre under exam conditions.
